Le système d'armes missile anti-navires chinois C-802 installé sur la frégate F12 UMS Kyansittha de la Marine birmane
ased on a recently released picture, it appears that Myanmar Navy has fitted Eight Chinese made C-802 anti-ship missile launch canisters on board UMS Kyansittha Frigate (hull number F12).
Locally designed and built by Thilawa Naval Dockyard, UMS Kyansittha was commissioned on 31 March 2014. A second vessel of this class was also launched in March 2014.
The class is rumored to be fitted with a mix of Russian and Chinese weapon systems and sensors. India's Bharat Electronics and the DRDO have also signed contracts to supply radar an sonar systems to the Myanmar Navy, systems that will likely be fitted on board the Kyansittha class.
According to the local press, UMS Kyansittha has a reduced radar cross section, a displacement of about 3,000 tons and a length of 108 meters. As many as 6 vessels of this class could be on order by the navy of Myanmar.
The C-802 (NATO designation: CSS-N-8 Saccade) is a chinese made anti-ship missile unveiled for the first time in 1989. The missile is subsonic (M 0.9) with a range of about 120 kilometers. It is available in several versions depending on the launch platform: airplanes, ships, submarines and land-based vehicles. The C-802 is reported to have been exported by China to several countries including Algeria, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Iran, Pakistan, Thailand...

http://www.aseanmildef.com/2015/01/myan ... meter.htmlLa Birmanie a terminé la construction de ses 2 premiers patrouilleurs rapides lance-missiles FAC-M d'une série de 10
NAYPYIDAW, -- Myanmar has completed the first two of ten new FAC-M vessels, which besides having weapon system and electronic suite from the Russian-Chinese combination, also incorporates RCS technology much like other main ASEAN naval power such as Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand and Malaysia.
One of the most significant development for Myanmar Navy in 2013 was the launching of new FAC (Stealth)(pennant number P 491) which is 49 meter long and armed with 4 x C 802 SSMs and a single AK 630 CIWS. A second ship of this class was completed by end of 2014.
Myanmar Navy planned to build 10 ships of this class.
Kanwa Defense Review, a magazine published by Andrei Pinkov, a military analyst from Canada, said Myanmar's stealth looked very similar to the 500-tonne fast attack craft the PLA Navy turned over to Pakistan in 2012.
The new stealth missile boat will likely carry the C-802 or C-802A like its counterpart in Pakistan, the article said. This demonstrates that China still has strong influence over Myanmar despite the end of the nation's military regime. Islamabad is also negotiating with Beijing to purchase the C-602 missile, according to Kanwa.
Myanmar Navy FAC 491 is armed with 4 C-802 Missile which has a range of 120 km, it is also armed with one Ak-630 CIWS. The Radar and sensor system is unknown.
This Fast Attack Craft (FAC) is similar to Pakistan Navy Azmat class FAC which has a displacement of 500 ton and carries 8 C-802A missile.

Re: Armée Birmane
http://www.janes.com/article/66579/myan ... educed-rcsMyanmar Navy commissions first corvette with reduced RCS
The Myanmar Navy (MN) commissioned several new vessels on 24 December, including UMS (Union of Myanmar Ship) Tabinshwehti with pennant number 773: the service's first guided-missile corvette featuring radar cross-section (RCS) reducing characteristics.
Launched in late November 2014, UMS Tabinshwehti is also the third guided-missile corvette to enter service with the MN. Unlike the two older 77 m guided missile corvettes, UMS Anawrahta (771) and UMS Bayintnaung (772), the recently commissioned corvette has a reduced-RCS superstructure with two masts and a helicopter hangar.
Weapons include one Oto Melara 76 mm gun in a stealthy cupola and two Chinese-made NG-18 gun systems for close-in defence. The ship also features a box launcher for six man-portable air defence systems (MANPADS) - presumably from North Korea.
Moreover, two sets of five-barrelled Chinese-origin RDC anti-submarine rocket launchers are mounted ahead of the main gun and what appear to be two sets of two box launchers for Chinese C-802-series anti-ship missiles are fitted amidships.
The commissioning ceremony, which took place on the MN's 69th anniversary, was attended by the commander-in-chief of the country's armed forces, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who noted that Myanmar is now capable of constructing missile corvettes to its own specifications from start to finish. "Building warships on a self-reliant basis saves money and provides benefits to Myanmar," he added.
The MN also displayed a locally developed unmanned surface vessel (USV) project using what appears to be a rigid-hull inflatable boat (RHIB) from French manufacturer Sillinger fitted with what appears to be a remotely operated machine gun.
Video footage of the demonstration suggests that the USV is controlled by two operators using a commercial-off-the-shelf-based control system with joystick controls and a line of sight radio control.
Other vessels commissioned on 24 December include a 77 m troop transport ship UMS Chindwin and six 29 m landing craft mechanised (LCM) vessels capable of carrying two armoured fighting vehicles.

.Myanmar in advanced negotiations to licence-build JF-17 fighter
After deciding to purchase 16 JF-17 Thunder multi-role combat aircraft in 2015, Myanmar is now in advanced negotiations with Pakistan to also licence-build the third-generation fighter, defence industry sources in Yangon and sources close to the Myanmar Air Force (MAF) told Jane's in mid-January.
If an agreement is reached, Myanmar's bid to manufacture the single-engine combat aircraft - co-developed by the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) and China's Chengdu Aerospace Corporation (CAC) - could mark a significant step forward in the country's efforts to expand its local defence industry.
As the MAF phases out its obsolete fleet of F-7M Airguard and A-5C 'Fantan' combat aircraft purchased from China in the 1990s, licensed production of the JF-17 Thunder would also mean that the aircraft will likely become the MAF's workhorse over the coming decades in much the same way as it has moved to prominence within the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).
At least 70 of the fighters are in service with the PAF, with the first ones having entered service in 2009. Expectations are that the PAF will induct up to 150 JF-17 Thunder fighters in the coming years.
The first of 16 imported JF-17s ordered by Myanmar are expected to go into service with the MAF later this year. Speaking on condition of anonymity, sources told Jane's that these aircraft will be of the Block II variant, which was first rolled out from the PAC's Kamra plant in 2015 and which, unlike the Block I variant, features an air-to-air refuelling capability and improved avionics and electronics.
It is unclear whether later deliveries to the MAF will include the far more advanced Block III variant being produced at Kamra since last year. Sources told Jane's that in the context of ongoing negotiations on licensed production, Myanmar is seeking to produce the aircraft's Block III variant
