La version canon du Mi-24P a commencé à être produite à Rostov il y a 40 ans

Le 10 avril 1981, à Rostov-sur-le-Don, la production en série de l'hélicoptère de combat Mi-24P avec le canon de 30 mm à double canon GSh-30K a commencé. De tels canons ont été installés sur l'avion d'attaque Su-25.
En raison du poids important et du fort recul, il n'a pas été possible d'effectuer une installation mobile du canon et le canon a été fixé immobile le long du côté tribord du fuselage avant. The Ka-52 has a top speed of 196 mph/315km/h, a maximum altitude of 18,044 feet/5,500m, and a maximum range of 683 miles/1100km.
The Apache's newest variant has a top speed of 188 mph/302.5km/h, a maximum altitude of 20,500feet/6200m, and a maximum range of 299 miles/481km.
DESIGN:
The Ka-52 has two three-blade counter-rotating rotors, making it extremely maneuverable. Russian media even claims it can pivot 90 degrees on the spot.
The Apache uses a more traditional four-bladed single rotor along with a tail rotor.
WEAPONS:
The Alligator carries a variety of weapons, such as VIKHR and ATAKA anti-tank guided missiles, Kh-25ML air-to-ground missiles, and 80mm unguided S-8 rockets. The Ka-52K variant even carries Kh-35 anti-ship missiles that can hit targets up to 80 miles away. It also has a 2A42 30mm automatic gun, which can reportedly fire up to 550 rounds per minute.
The Apache can carry 16 Hellfire missiles and 76 2.75-inch rockets. It also carries a 30 mm gun with 1,200 rounds of ammunition.
The new Ah-64E can receive video and data from drones, and some can control the drone's sensors and flight paths. These capabilities will only continue to grow in the near future.
