je crois avoir lu quelque part que le prix de la frégate Meko A-200 AN est d'environ 400 millions d'euro donc quatre frégates plus 6 AW super lynx 300 avec leur équipements et armements, le chantier naval , la formation des équipages et tout le reste comme les équipements et l’armement achetés ailleurs que chez les Allemands je pense que c'est comme sa que nous devons voir les choses, la Fremm française a été cédé pour 480 millions d'euro " hatba " comme on dit chez nous, je crois

The €2, 175, 520, 699 figure that we find in the press as the price tag actually is what called the "Export Credit Guarantee" (ECG) or "Hermes cover" for the whole contract (2 + another 2 as an option), it's a federal guarantee that enable the exporter (TKMS) to protect themselves against economic and political risks of the customer's country (Algeria) through obtaining cover from private insurers. (in our case it's BNP Paribas and another Dutch bank i forgot its name).

Being that said i want to go back briefly to the Umkhonto issue. i want to point that the Umkhonto was a good choice. In the Zulu language it means "The Spear", It's the first VLS IR SAM and also the first to use the lock-on after launch (LOAL) mode. All these supersonic anti-ship missiles and new stealth cruise missiles that are available today are unlikely to be detected further than 15-20 km.
The choice of the Umkhonto came as a solution for the need to face modern threats.
1-It's has an IIR seeker thus a jamming immunity in intensive ECM environment.
2-Unlike Aster it can engage eight different targets simultaneously thus protection against saturation attacks.
3-It has a bigger warhead then Mica thus higher kill probability.

The world navies are moving towards a new creed in naval air defense "shooting the arrows rather than trying to shoot the archer", sacrificing the range in favor of higher interception probability. We can see this clearly in the Royal Navy 7000 tons Type-26 and their Sea Captor with a max range of 25 km.

Personnellement je n'ai aucun doute concernant la qualité et les performances des équipements ainsi que l'armement choisis par nos Marins pour ces frégates même en matière d'auto defense je pense en fin de compte qu'elles seront bien équipées avec les MASS et les NGDS.

salam sagit, la Meko A-200 AN sera équipée d'un Oto Melara 127/64 mm LW Vulcano comme canon de proue comme celui la, les Fregates sud Africaines sont équipées d'Oto Melara 76 mm ancien model que la marine Algerien a placé sur quelques patrouilleur classe Kebir.
