Didn't really knew where to post this as it cover wide spectrum of equipment , but came across this on russiandefence.net:
http://gurkhan.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/4 ... 8-90c.html
According to the aforementioned algerian newspaper, another potential mega deal is in negotiation. It could possibly include:
2 to 4 (!) squadrons of Su-32
S-400 SAM batteries
Tor SAM systems
perhaps 180 T-90MS
Mi-28 (42 in negotiation as we know- how did the trials went by the way?)
More Yak-130 (another 36 under negotiation/contract already signed? according to forcesdz info)
BMPT, possibly converted from older T-72
Bastion coastal defence complexes
Project 20380 corvettes
Submarines
In the words of a poster there, this is big, and i mean BIG! If everything on this list will be contracted, it would be what, $8-10 billions easily. How reliable do you think this information is ?
Getting back to the Su-32/34, when the Su-24s were upgraded to MK2 standard and overhauled at NAPO between 2001-2006 how many more years of life have been added ? I would be guessing 15, so if that would b the case in theory they would be due to be retired between 2016-2021, so starting the negotiation and signing a contract this year or the next fits perfectly with these dates, as deliveries could start about 2017.

Re: Su-32/34 [FullBack] "Négociation !"
The mentioned article was published in "Le Soir d'Algérie" by one of our more famous staff's member "akramov". He published those informations according highly reliable sources
Concerning Su-24, they were upgraded later than that period... probably between 2008 and 2012 in my opinion

Re: Su-32/34 [FullBack] "Négociation !"
Oh, i did found the article on secret-difa, and something that has been omitted in the secondary sources i've read, is the planned repeat order for Su-30s, and the latest standard similar with russian SM at that (which boosts improved bars radar, RVV-SD and MD missiles, and allegedly more powerful engines)! Even more, the planned number of Su-30s is apparently planned to reach about ONE HUNDRED (unless there's a slight confusion and the 100 number refers to the total numbers of Su-30 and Su-32 planned)! In the most conservative scenario we would be looking at say 32 Su-32 (if mr. Somoud's info is accurate) and say another 24-32 Su-30MKA2, adding up to a formidable force by all accounts.
Now would all this mean that the MMRCA deal has been cancelled, and the MiG-29 and MiG-25 will be replaced by more MKAs instead (with the Su-24s being replaced by the Hellducks of course) ?
Any more comments on the above from our friends in the know? Thank you.
PS: I do apologize if i strayed too much from the Su-32/24 subject.
